FAQ

+ How much notice do you need to schedule a photo shoot?

Your shoot can be scheduled as early as next day depending on availability. Scheduling 2 or more days in advance will offer a greater chance of scheduling for your desired time.

+ How long does a photoshoot take?

Daylight sessions typically take one hour and Twilight sessions last up to two hours.

+ Do I need to be present at the time of the shoot?

No. As an ARMLS Affiliate with Key, the photographer is able to access the property with your CBS code or via a numeric lockbox.

+ Is it OK for the sellers to be present?

Absolutely. I am happy to work around the sellers and you can be assured that they will be met with top-tier customer service.

+ What is the best time of day for photos?

A good starting point is identifying the direction the house faces. Sunlight on the front of the house makes for a stronger first image. East-facing homes photograph better in the morning -- and West-facing homes in the afternoon. North-facing homes may receive sunlight on their front during the early morning and late evening in the summer months.

+ What do I need to do to prepare the property for photography?

Think "minimal." Remove as much clutter and as many personal items as possible. Move vehicles out of the driveway and away from the front of the house. More details are available in the Pre-Shoot Checklist.

+ What if I need to cancel or reschedule the appointment?

You may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the appointment online via the confirmation e-mail you receive at the time of booking or by calling/texting 480-316-3213. Cancelling or rescheduling the day of the appointment will prompt a $35 fee.

+ What happens if there’s inclement weather?

I proactively post any weather advisories every Sunday and block availability when storms are forecasted. In the event that we’re surprised by inclement weather, we’ll reschedule for earliest available timeslot at no extra cost.

+ How soon are the images delivered to me?

Photos are typically delivered the following morning. At the latest, you’ll receive your download link up to 24 hours after the end of your appointment. Example: A session scheduled at 11am will be delivered by 12pm the following day.

+ How are the images delivered?

Photos are delivered via email. The body of the email will contain a Download button which will connect you to WeTransfer. Simply press “download” and all the photos will be saved in a zip file to the Downloads folder on your computer.

+ Do you upload photos to MLS for me?

MLS rules and regulations restrict my ability to upload photos to the listings of licensed agents.

Armada Visuals LLC retains copyright to all photos. You are free to use the photographs for personal marketing. However, any photographs or other marketing materials created by AV may not be used by any other party without written consent. If a contractor, stager, or builder requests the images, please refer them to me.

+ Are you insured?

Yes, Armada Visuals LLC has a liability policy and all business operations are covered.

+ Do you have a license for flying a drone?

Yes, I am a licensed sUAS pilot under the FAA’s Part 107 Code of Federal Regulations.

+ Are you able to fly your drone everywhere?

Not everywhere. Much of my service area is in controlled airspace belonging to local airports. We must receive authorization from the FAA prior to any flight in these spaces. Flight may be restricted for several reasons, though the most common are that the property is too close to an airport or a major league sporting event. If you pay for aerial photography that AV is not able to fulfill due to FAA restrictions, you will be reimbursed the full amount of that service.

+ Can you Photoshop out unwanted items?

I am able to remove minor, non-permanent items but please note that this level of retouching may be subject to additional charges depending on complexity. The best practice is to make the home as presentable as possible prior to the session.

+ How do I pay you?

I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Payment may be submitted online at the time of booking, in person, or via your online invoice which is emailed to you at the time of your scheduled appointment. Payment must be received before photos are delivered.
